Last updated 20 July 2026.
This notice explains how Heywood Timber Services handles personal information when you visit this website or contact the business.
Who is responsible for your information
For this website and enquiries made through it, Heywood Timber Services is the data controller. Privacy questions can be sent to info@heywoodtimberservices.co.uk, raised by telephone on 07980 894740, or posted to 183 Skipton Road, Harrogate, HG1 3EX.
Website visits
This release does not use advertising cookies, Google Analytics or an on-site enquiry form. It does not ask you to create an account and it does not store enquiry details in the website repository.
The hosting and security provider may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser details and requested pages to deliver and protect the site. This infrastructure data is handled under the provider’s security and retention controls. The website does not use this data to build advertising profiles or make automated decisions about visitors.
Information provided with an enquiry
If you call or email, you choose what information to provide. This may include your name, contact details, property location, measurements, photographs and project requirements. It is used to answer your enquiry, assess or prepare work, communicate about a project and keep appropriate business records.
Why the information is used
Depending on the circumstances, information is used because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform an agreed contract, to meet accounting or other legal obligations, or for the legitimate interests of responding to enquiries and operating the business. Those interests are balanced against your rights and reasonable expectations.
Do not send sensitive personal information that is not needed for the project.
Sharing and international processing
Information is shared only where reasonably necessary with service providers that support website hosting, security, email or professional business administration, or where disclosure is required by law. Personal information is not sold. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom; where this occurs, the business relies on the provider’s applicable UK adequacy arrangements or contractual safeguards.
How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to work are normally deleted when they are no longer reasonably needed and within two years. Where work proceeds, relevant correspondence and records may normally be kept for up to six years for contract, tax and legal purposes. Information may be kept longer when required by law or while a dispute is being resolved.
External services
Links to Instagram and online maps take you to third-party websites. Those services have their own privacy practices. They are not loaded inside this website merely because you visit a page.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correct it, erase it, restrict its use, object to its use, or receive a portable copy. Some rights have legal limits, and records may still need to be retained where the law requires it. Requests can be sent to info@heywoodtimberservices.co.uk.
If a privacy concern is not resolved, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Changes to this notice
This page will be updated before introducing an on-site contact form, analytics, cookies or another service that materially changes how visitor information is handled.
